Henry Ford designed his cars to run on Ethanol- Alcohol which captures 25% of the fuel market in the midwest. Rockefeller (Founder of Standard Oil wasn’t happy about this and helped fund an Amendment to stop all alcohol production in the US: 13 Years of Prohibition) ** This is why Ethanol-Alcohol isn’t used today.

Roosevelt then broke up Standard Oil because of it’s monopoly over the oil business.

Standard has reunited to be ExxonMobile. 

 No Deisel at Detroit’s Car show. Because the Big-Name car companies (GM, Ford) didn’t create alternative cars such as Hybrids, they lost billions of dollars and cut thousands of jobs. Detroit is now an unemployment sponge.

The American Government subsidizes cars that weigh over 6,000 pounds. Why subsidize the hummer over the Prius?? Because of this subsidy, the US’s cars are 1/3 large than cars overseas.

***The US, with only 4.5% of inhabitants in the world makes over 50% of Automotive CO2 in the world.

Ethanol is arguably neutral. Energy into making Ethanol= Energy usable.
